Tampa’s MacDinton’s Irish Pub & Restaurant Celebrates a Decade
Tampa’s Tampa’s MacDinton’s Irish Pub & Restaurant will mark its 10th year Saturday, May 26, with a gigantic block party bash featuring live music, drink specials, games and big prizes as a fundraiser to benefit the Police Athletic League (PAL) of Tampa.
Ground zero for this once-in-a-decade event will be MacDinton’s 405 S. Howard Avenue, in the heart of Hyde Park’s SOHO business district. The night will feature many of the MacDinton’s drink specials through the years that have made it the destination for thousands of area business people, residents and partiers wanting to be part of this unique Tampa nightspot.
“In 10 years a lot of our customers have changed faces, so to bring together two generations of guests means a lot to us, especially since it’s for a good cause,” MacDinton’s Manager Chris Sweeney said.
A handful of games, including police dunk tank, corn hole and adult-sized Jenga will be featured at the celebration that will start at 6 p.m. and end at close.
The Chris McCarty Band, a regional variety group quickly emerging on the national scene, will provide live music for the event. Their range of genres includes 90′s, Cover, Funk, R & B, Rock, Top 40 and more!
Those who make a suggested ten dollar donation will automatically be entered into a drawing for a $750 Southwest Airlines gift card, courtesy of Guinness.
Donations will go to PAL, an organization run by volunteer members of the Tampa Police Department that brings supervised after school, summer and general sports activities to young people in underserved parts of our community. “PAL is a really great organization and we are very grateful for everything they do for our community,” Sweeney said.
